Spay & Neuter Transport

Transportation is provided in a climate controlled vehicle from in front of PetSense in Mt. Airy to the Forsyth Spay and Neuter Clinic in Kernersville where dog/cat is spayed or neutered by the clinic’s licensed veterinarian staff.  Preregistration is required!  Please call Melanie at (336)786-5256 for more information.  Drop off time for preresgistered pets is 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. in front of PetSense ever other Monday (2x a month).  Pets will be returned to their owners in front of PetSense that same afternoon at 4:30 p.m.  Drop off/pick up time can be flexible to meet your schedule.  If you need to contact the clinic, call (336) 723-7550.  This program is open to the public.

Before Monday’s Transport Please:

  • No food or water for your pet after 10:00 p.m. the night before the procedure.
  • Please line your pets crate/pet taxi with newspaper in case they need to potty.
  • Once at the clinic pets are removed from their crates/pet taxis and placed in kennels.
  • Wire crates are not acceptable, but loaner crates are available (at no charge) upon request.
  • All crates must have an attached label with your pet’s name, your last name, and a reachable phone number.  This can be a piece of paper, index card, or masking/duct tape-just something visible and secure.
  • Your pet will (by state law) receive a rabies vaccine ($10) unless you send a copy of your pet’s current rabies certificate, signed by your veterinarian.  Tags alone are not acceptable proof.  If you cannot find your paperwork, a copy can be obtained from the veterinarian office that administered the vaccine.
